Josh Vogeler Music Bio:
Josh Vogeler is a folk singer/songwriter based in Fort Collins, Colorado. He writes and performs on a 10-string acoustic guitar using a percussive finger style technique. You may notice blues and hip-hop flavor from his St. Louis roots, with some jazzy New Orleans soul. He certainly can’t hide his 1990’s psychedelic jam band influences. Finding the “folk” in many underground music scenes, Josh’s story also includes hardcore punk, reggae, bluegrass, and EDM. Josh was recognized for his songwriting in 2015, winning the Troubadour contest at the Ullrgrass Festival in Golden, CO. Keeping in Earthy and authentic, Josh seeks to uplift the spirit and spark imagination.
Formally trained as a percussionist, Josh is the drummer for folk rock bands House With A Yard and The Holler!. He has jammed onstage with Zac Brown, The White Rabbits, Genetics and Coral Creek, plus with members of Leftover Salmon and Dark Star Orchestra. He has performed from coast to coast with frequent visits to Alaska where he lived for a short time.
